Back in the Swing of Things

I’ve been neglecting this blog over the past few weeks, and being laid up with mysterious neck pain I can’t seem to kick is only partly an excuse.   After the busyness of the holidays, I’ve been craving simplicity, relaxation, and to be perfectly honest shirking all but the most necessary responsibilities.  I think I’ve stretched my down time as far as I can reasonably make excuses with myself to go, so to get back into the swing of things here are some highlights of Christmas dinner at our house and the rest of the holiday break.

Cats opening their presents on Christmas morning (hand sewn toys filled with catnip from the garden).

Cranberry Apple Crumble The Christmas cactus did bloom, although two days late.  Sidra was quite taken with it.
